How was your day? Hope it was good!
Recently, it's been coming up more and more in school whether Internet communication was better than just going "down town" and hanging out. Personally, because of my own health difficulties, I prefer logging into cyber-space and connecting with the millions of people who for whatever reason spend their time also on the internet. I do, however, appreciate the benefits of being able to go out shopping, swimming, shopping, go to the cinema, shopping, or just hanging out!
I have also discovered that people in different settings can be teased because of their choices, whether it is go out or stay in, and to be honest I really don't understand this. People who stay in get accused of having no friends or life, whilst those that go out get called shallow or fake. I play video games, I go on interesting chat forums, or just spend ages listening to music whilst reading. For me, this is fun, entertaining and I'm talking to people I "know" or am friends with. I take the viewpoint; my life, my choice. I can understand wanting to go out, it's just never held any appeal for me. Perhaps this makes me a bit weird, I don't know. Probably though! :D
I really do enjoy going out shopping though, as you might've gathered! And going for a sleepover or cinema with a group of friends is really fun, often involving pillow fights, make-over sessions, capturing little brothers or annoying everyone in the cinema with our giggling and running commentary.
So, really, when you get down to it, whats better? Or is there really a "right" or "wrong" choice? I suppose it really is a matter of personal preference, when you get down to it! What do you think?
